We’re helping to improve your communities through services.
We know that your communities are important to you and through our work together they become important to us. Public service entities are in the business of keeping your community safe and functioning. They provide roads, clean water, recreational opportunities, first responders, fire protection, healthcare and libraries.
Our services-oriented attorneys work to continually guide and enforce the complex set of laws that guide elected officials and agency staff in their service to their communities. We lead the way when it comes to serving Colorado’s public service entities.
We represent large and small municipalities throughout Colorado as both general and special counsel. Our public service entities work includes elections, budgeting, contracting, regulatory, and statutory and constitutional compliance.
We also stand at the forefront statewide for developing intergovernmental authorities and operational agreements between governments, especially in the areas of:
- Infrastructure financing
- Public improvement development
- Water and sanitation services
- Fire and other emergency services
- Dispatching and communications
Much of our ongoing work involves complex development projects for municipal and landowner clients, including negotiating and drafting annexation, public improvement, and development financing agreements.
Our experience in public service entities helped push us to be the driving legal force behind the successful District Court and Colorado Supreme Court litigation, legislation and incorporation proceedings that lead to the 2001 formation of the City of Centennial.
