Joan Fritsche’s current practice primarily involves the formation and representation of special districts as general counsel, with a focus on water and sanitation and developer districts. In addition, she advises clients on election law and the Fair Campaign Practices Act, and serves as special counsel conducting due diligence reviews of existing districts related to real estate transactions. Joan began her legal career in the Adams County Attorney’s Office in the land use division before moving to private practice.
Joan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Marquette University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver where she served on the University of Denver Law Review. Prior to attending law school, Joan worked in Chicago and Aspen in hotel management for Hyatt, the Four Seasons, and the Hotel Jerome. Joan’s community commitments have included serving on the Board of Directors for the Civic Center Conservancy; serving on the Special District Association Executive Legislative Committee; and volunteering for nonprofit organizations and schools in her community.
